Rules and Regulations

  • Students are required to observe discipline and follow norms in every matter of the College-academic and administrative. Good conduct and academic excellence are the watchwords of the institution. Special care is taken to maintain all round discipline in the College.
  • Students must attend their classes regularly. A regular student of the College must have to attend at least 75% of the classes held during a particular academic session, failing which the candidate shall be treated as non-collegiate (more that 60% but less than 75%), but is eligible to appear at the final examination only after paying a fine to be fixed by the Vidyasagar University.
  • Students whose attendance falls short of a minimum of 60% shall be considered as dis-collegiate and shall not be allowed to appear at the University Examination. No appeal in this regard will be entertained.
  • Honours students will forfeit their claim to study Honours Course if they fail to attain 70% attendance in their Honours classes.
  • Defaulters cannot claim retrospective attendance.
  • Tuition fee concession will not be given to non-collegiate or dis-collegiate students.
  • Registration forms must be filled in by students of 1st year B.A. or B.Sc. (General & Honours) and B.Com classes within the time specified by the University.
  • Tuition fees can be deposited on 5th, 10th, 15th 25th of every month. If the above dates fall on Saturday/Sunday/holiday, fees can be deposited on the next working day.
  • Students must clear up their fees in due time. Otherwise, they shall have to get re-admission.
  • All the Honours and General (Pass) students must appear at the Internal Examinations. Dates of Internal Examination will be declared in time.
  • Science students must attend both theoretical and practical classes regularly. Students who will not attend theoretical classes regularly shall not be permitted to attend practical classes.
  • No change of subject is allowed after the University fixed date.
  • No students except medical ground are allowed to take seven consecutive leaves of absence. Absentee students must have to submit an application to the Principal with a medical certificate issued by registered Medical Officer. Absentees of more than 15 consecutive days will be rusticated from the college.
  • Fees once paid are not refunded. All Caution Money will be refunded after the completion of three year degree course on production of deposit slip without which no application will be entertained.
  • All applications made by the student, must mention their name, roll number and class of the student.
  • A fine of Rs. 2.00 per day per book will be charged for late return of library books.
  • Before entering into a classroom or an examination hall, students must take prior permission from the teacher / staff.
  • Students adopting any kind of unfair means in the examination hall or elsewhere in the College premises shall be liable to be punished as per recommendation of the Disciplinary Committee.
  • Every student must use College property like furniture, laboratory equipments, electrical and toiletry fittings, library books, etc., with due care and caution. Any student found damaging the College property shall be punished as per recommendation of the Disciplinary Committee of this College.
  • Loitering inside the college campus is strictly prohibited.
  • College campus can never be polluted either by throwing waste materials or by shouting any slogan.
  • Identity card will be issued to the students after admission. Identity card must be shown to the gatekeeper at the entrance.
  • Use of mobile phone in the college campus is prohibited.
  • Political activities in the college campus are strictly prohibited.
  • Keep silence at library and office.
  • Students are expected to be co-operative and well-mannered in dealings with their teachers, non-teaching staff and their fellow friends.
  • Attestation can be done during 12.00 noon to 1.00 pm except Saturday after verification by Head Clerk.
  • Students can meet with the Principal/TIC during 12.00 noon to 1.00 pm after taking permission from the Head Clerk.
  • Students can submit any complain letter to the college office and will be redressed by the Grievance &Redressal Cell of the college.
  • Ragging in any form either in the college or in the college hostel shall severely be dealt with and the student(s) involved in the act of ragging shall be rusticated from the College.
  • Students must keep their bi-cycles and two-wheelers in the cycle stand only.
  • Students are expected to go through the Notice Boards regularly.
